This house comes complete with a 1994 copy of the Toronto Sun, with the front page devoted to John Candy's untimely death. From the looks of the place, I wouldn't be surprised if that is how long it has been abandoned. Several boards are strewn on the ground at the back, with nails sticking out of a few, so it's a good idea to step carefully. I didn't venture to the second floor as I didn't have much faith in the stairs. Plus there is a room on the main level where the doorway is covered by a blue sheet. For some reason I couldn't get up the nerve to pull aside the sheet and look in the room. My thoughts wandered to the worst possibilities I suppose lol.

From still_dreaming519:

This property was located on Longwoods Rd some distance South West of London. All I’ve been able to gather from posting on social media is that in 2015 a man in his 70’s lived here and was by account very friendly. I was also told the signs were up for at least 10 years and they look the part. The last thing I was told was that the house was demolished this spring (2022) and a large house is being built on the property.

When I first started camping in London in 2016 I would sometimes take #2 (Longwoods Rd) instead of the 401 when I had time. It took only 20 min longer and the winding roads were a lot more scenic. I passed this spot a few times and in 2018 I finally pulled over and took unfortunately, only one photo. Looking back I wish a took a closer look but the place had a vibe that someone might come out waving a .22 at me if I passed the front gate..
