Soon To Be No More

Two houses beside each other that are soon to be demolished. The owners got bought out by a builder 4 years ago.

The owners of the little yellow house moved out at that time. The other owners continued living in the brick/white garage house up until December 2016. I have known for quite some time that these properties were slated for potential development, but its a long process to get building permits and approval in this town. This town doesn't have the infrastructure to manage many new builds and developments, so builders are constantly fighting over their chance to make a pretty penny while turning this small country town into another Markham or Richmond Hill. Being so close to my home and on one of the busiest streets in the town, I didn't ever go inside in them since being abandoned. I did, however, go in the yellow house 5 years ago as one of my friends used to live there (its not very exciting and quite outdated)

The builder is going to put "a small enclave of condominium bungalow towns for the active adult-lifestyle".... whatever that means. They set up the demolition fences and signs March 16th, so my guess is there will be nothing but dirt left by the end of the month. They plan to have the homes completed by Summer 2017.
