Stripped Bare

Demolished House in Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Recent status Demolished
Location # 11537

A simple farmhouse, well on its way to be being stripped clean and soon to be demolished, all in the name of progress. This was once a beautiful horse farm. I last checked a few weeks ago and it was still active, but now its almost gone.

Very hazardous walking around here, lots of nails and sharp objects, also several holes to watch out for.

Sorry - east side of Leslie, not woodbine, but it was on the last lot north of St Johns which is Aurora's jurisdiction. And ya the materials were "saved" by Aurora. Newms didn't have a say in this one.

This was the Lundy Log House. Definitely was part of WS as it was on the east side of Woodbine. If I'm remembering correctly it's construction details and materials were "saved" and stored for future use by the either the Aurora or WS. lots of info here: http://www.livinginaurora.com/lundy-log-house-last-log-house-town/

It was demolished within days of being found, and its in Newmarket, not Whit-Stouff, so Mr. Hugo had no jurisdiction anyway, despite his best efforts. The Town of Newmarket does not preserve much at all.

Timo/Hugo, what ever came of preservation of this house?
