You will pass this house on the way to #6192. While it is not much to look at on the outside, the inside is littered with little trinkets and gems from years past. While it is clear that people have hung out here and moderate man-made damage is present, the house and its contents--those that remain, anyway--are in remarkably good shape. From the 1930s and 1940s periodicals and newspapers to the aged bone china to the antique furniture to the awesome stereo system, it is clear that this house was occupied by a senior who was holding onto past memories. Not sure how long it has been abandoned, but as I was leaving, a crew from the hydro company arrived to cut the power, as the building is to be torn down at some point in the future to make way for a new subdivision (owned by the same company as #6192.)

Interestingly, it was the owner of #6192, Ms. Helen Dickie--a horse farmer who fended off the development company who now owns the property for years before she ultimately passed away and they bought the land and the houses on it--who owned and lived in this house, and rented out #6192 for years.

The name of the location comes from the headline of one of the old newspapers--The London Free Press--as seen in my gallery.

The lights worked when I was there, but I am guessing, as mentioned earlier, that that is no longer the case!

January 2015- rear doors boarded up by the city. No entry at this time.

October 2015 - Demolished

Gone, unfortunately. Didn't get a chance to check the one across the bridge.
