An abandoned house on the side of the road. There is someone always watching this place. Beware.

From GanjaQueen: This site is one I've been scoping out for a few weeks, and finally got the chance to go, and with a friend! There was no driveway for the house, only the barn, so that's where we started out adventure.

The barn is tilting and beginning to fold over on itself, either from poor foundations, wind, rot, age… or more than likely a combination of all these factors. It's tilt is so severe that if you chose to walk through the building you have to lean with the building to go through the doorways. I wouldn't recommend exploring this building on a windy day!

There was definitely fowl of some kind in the barn, chickens?, and maybe a horse or donkey from the looks of it. It would have been a nice small manageable farm for a couple.

The house has a very scenic barn board attachment on the back, and the rest of the houses exterior white vinyl siding is in great shape considering. The contrast is stark and noticeable from a distance, and is what initially drew my attention to the property.

Inside the house when we walked in one of the first things we saw was a frigging Ouija Board Box on the floor. Never found the board (we said we'd play the board in the house if we did, lol maybe it's good we never found it.) But made for a helluva laugh and some cool creepy pics.

The house has a few notable features.

  • Multiple stairs cases upstairs
An access hallway/cupboard under the stairs
  • The basement is split into 2 sections, the second down a small corridor and around a corner has much older and more interesting stuff than the junk filled area you initially emerge into when descending the stairs.
  • Huge bath tub upstairs absolutely curtained tub to ceiling in spider webs. They are fresh and not dust filled so it's almost impossible to see or photograph.
  • No graffiti ^_^

Both of these houses were demolished in 2023.

The damage to roof has turned into a gaping hole. The doors are secure able still but more windows have been broken. It doesn't look like anyone maintains the property, or is watching the house. The neighbors were outside and almost certainly saw us taking pictures of the front, and didn't seem to care to come over or intervene. Although this site is literally 5 min away from an active OPP station on the other side of Portland. I'd watch shining flashlights out the windows at night.

No significant change to this place since the last update. The roof damage shown in azreal's photo has worsened. The doors are still secured. A broken window has been boarded up from the inside. Inside was dusty and it looked like work was being done....a long long time ago. It was (very) obvious we were there but, despite the note that this is being closely watched, no one approached.

What really attracted me to this house was the (what I call) wagon entrance towards the back. So beautiful, but hard to get to in the tall grass.

Good Stuff ~ will have to check it out. Driving Hwy#15 regularly - tend to miss the obvious.
