If you want a quick death in the name of exploring, the upper levels of the old Park Street Hotel are for you. Nowhere else in the Niagara region has a city council turned a blind eye to such an incredible hazard for so long. Abandoned since the early 1970s, there are three levels of apartments with an entire back wall to the building that is ready to buckle and bring the whole thing down. Temporary partition fences have been sitting here for many years, with the end of the last partition a good ten feet from the building's wall. With gaping access holes and in an area of town that has been almost completely forgotten about, the entire corner of Park and Erie has dropped off the development radar. However, a city councilor friend recently told me that new interest has been stirred in getting rid of this entire corner before the city is sued into the ground, and thus it has finally come time to get this into the database. Photos are all from the ground floor. I would love to see more but any further climb risks shifting an exterior wall and possibly causing a full-out collapse.

Great place GS it is every bit as bad as you were saying the other day.If anyone else is interested in exploring the rest of this building I would be willing to give it a go. If you are thinking about heading over here it's probably best to not go alone anyway's so send me a PM and I will meet you there if I am not busy.
