4X4-ing in Tophet - Tophet-(ghost-town)4.jpg Hard to believe there were 24 homes and a 100 First Nation residents here from 1948 to 1972 when they swapped for land in Chapleau. Some stayed but they had no sewage , running water or employment. A fire in 1999 destroyed most of the town.
