Yes it is a beautiful home. Unfortunately rumor has it a company out of Toronto has purchased the land and will be redevoloping some time in the future.

I found it on the way to the Backus Heritage Conservation Area if you are heading south on Highway 59 you can't miss it as it is right on the corner of Highway 59 and the turn off for the conservation area. Sorry I don't know how far from Woodstock maybe 20 mins or so from Tillsonburg.

This place can be salvaged. Too bad someone make the effort before it's too late. Great find.

Wow, nice guys.....looks to be in pretty good shape as far as vandals go!!

It's a shame this little pretend village went to waste. It's at Brittania Beach complex. It would be worth it to find out who runs it and try to rejuvenate it for cyclists and new drivers training.

yes i missed the place just before it was torn down. i was getting photos for Foley (ghost town)..

We went back and found the foundations just north of Victoria Campground and the lady yelled in blood-curdling screams "No Trespassing!!" the log cabin is actually south of Victoria Road Village. we found more footings just south of Victoria Campground on west side.

I'm going to see this place this weekend, I'll post pics when I get back.

It looks like we went by this place only one day after kwils. Oct 17th. This place looks like it's been vacant for an awfully long time. I also wouldn't call the place 'in good shape', it's pretty much been demolished beyond redemption. Not that it was much of a house to begin with. I counted 4 different types of exterior structures, all painted yellow trying to blend in with each other.
