Oh, ok. Well, I figured it deserved a place here on the site.
I went through here today, stopped to take some pics. one of the buildings had 2 open windows, so I stuck my camera in there to take a few shots. It was really creepy standing there, as this really cold breeze blew through the building and out the window. This is really a nice place.

I live in Belleville and see this every day. never really considered it abandoned. Everyone in Belleville refers to it as the old dam

Scanlon is a great place to hike. There is also a hidden grist mill that i haven't (nor has anyone else) been able too find.

I stopped by this afternoon to check out the house .. it looks like weekend afternoons are a good time as there is not a lot of traffic going by. The door is wide open, but as someone mentioned the house has been picked clean. Didn't get over to the barn .. I will save that for my next visit. ;)
Anyone who has ever driven to Camp Wanakita has more than likely driven by these ruins, unless there is another way in to the Camp that I'm not aware of! Beautiful location!
I think the 407 will hit this place in 5 yrs.
I like Willisville as its situated right in the middle of the Lacloche Mountains--white quartzite. And the fire tower used on the show Adventures in Rainbow Country was located on the mountain there. I will add the photo...Clay
Thanks so much for adding these! I intend to go check out this site soon. I have been to the cemetery (which is reported to be haunted), but never to Salem itself. Thanks again! :)
Whats the best way to get into this location? I tried once, however the main road says government property, do not enter. where would I go to get in?
ahhhh the good ol' Westwood, I spent many a night sneaking in to it to watch movie's, the back door was always un-locked.

I've always wanted to visit this place, as we used to drive by it every weekend. Since relocating to Port Elgin 2 years ago we haven't been by. Looking forward to your '09 pictures.
I've stopped at both places, but unfortunately never had a camera. The church, from what I remember, was distroyed in a fire but the entrance was saved. A wonderfull show piece for a pioneer cemetary. The School house, from the outside appears structurally sound and yes I wanted in there too, but it was tightly sealed and I wouldn't think of breaking in. Maybe someday, it would make a very

The little white dots are the dust particles picked up by the cameras flash.
