I drove past this location yesterday on my way somewhere else, it looked extremely active, there were many vehicles in the parking lot, people standing around outside on the property etc. Maybe it's preparing for a come back?
I hit up the Kodak before the concert too, one of my fav locations!
Thanx guys! I was at that concert last night! It was amazing! Just as all their concerts are. I feel like a wrecking ball hit me today tho. I've been in the pit before but this one was extremely aggressive.
Def one of my fav locations!
Demolished.
Fixed, I think, it doesn't show on my end but that's probably because I'm viewing the old page. I blame my birthday on that brain fart. I'm trying to forget about it and am adamant about having my birthday banned from now on.
OMG WTH! I did! Now I gotta fix that, thanx Doom!
The owner that took over the building emptied his bank accounts shortly before the building caught fire and skipped town, to my knowledge he still hasn't been tracked down and there are many rumors swirling it was an insurance scam.
I know many people that had stayed here, even those that lived in the city just went "because". It was affordable, the suite I had rented was 180 for the night. I had been in the hotel many times though, even dined there numerous times, they had great food!
I was suppose to stay here in the presidential suite the night of my wedding, 2 weeks prior I found out I was pregnant with my 4th child, I cancelled the reservations because I was unable to use the hot tub, I really wish I would have just gone anyways now.
The road is actually Kennelly but the house wasn't located on Kennelly, the road name changed once across the hwy. Once located at 3534 Selby Rd, the house has been demolished, all that's left on the property is the bus now.
There is a groundskeeper, ask him permission first. :)
I went down this road twice yesterday and didn't see this place, may have been demo'ed, not sure.
Locked up tighter than fort knox now but I didn't mind, the interior wasn't why I wanted to visit this particular place. Pretty cool if you ask me!
I plan to hit this location next week. It's not suppose to be demo'ed. Some developer bought it and wants to turn it into condos, that was a while ago tho, so who knows.
