@UnLeashed_Photography Yes it's still there, drove by today so I can at least confirm there is a frame and exterior.
I'm pretty sure this house is being sold just as land, because of the horrific story behind it: The house was lived in by an exceptionally challenged woman, her friend, and three others, including the friend's boyfriend, whom was charged with the murder of the challenged woman. The details are horrendous, thus no one would want to be associated with the house.

I'm pretty sure the machine for for potatoes...weather it pulled them up from the ground, or sorted, I couldn't tell you. I'm sad to report it was demolished after my friend and I had a chance to take some frantic pics, as it was dusk and didn't want to draw attention with any flashes.

I'll definetely take a look around. Some hitchhiking teens mentions that there was an access point. I also spoke to one of the former principals, and he said the Grey Nuns' convent is now a rented as apartments for seniors. Thanks for commenting :)
I looked up this place when I attended Loyalist for a short while. I found the pumphouse, those are the photos. I'll add more when I sort through them all. In the holding pond area, there is an entry that accesses a completely flooded area. If I had the gall I would of gone in, in wading-boots.
If I remember correctly, the Gamble house was the main owner of most of the land. I believe the man of the house was either an architect, or engineer. I'll ask my Dad about the history of the area next time I talk to him.
I'm pretty sure the house titled "look familiar?" is my Dad's house! It used to be an old station (train or power) prior to it's use as a house. It was owned by John Norman Emerson. I went there one winter and discovered the charred interior. We did climb the stairs and walk the second floor rather safely. I'll post some family photos circa 1940.
I used to live in the blue farmhouse at the top of rumney road. I'll ask my godfather about this house, seeing as he had a lot of dealing either as a realator or builder.
I hate that place. They drained out a crucial swamp area for that crap! It's also caused the privatization of Peterson Park; a beach I used to swim and play at as a child.
When did they abandon this place? I could of sworn I went there in '09 to purchase a background check for my course.
I've stared at the exterior so many times, and never tried because I thought it was owned by the auto-shop kiddie-cornered there. Great info on it being an old stable!

I remember my Nana taking me here in the 80's when I was a little kid...I was hoping there'd still be the miniature buildings left behind, I guess a miniature ghost town.
I spoke with the security guard just prior to the Toronto G20 meeting, and apparently they weren't even letting potential buyers onto the property because of the related heightened security. But, it makes me wonder if I could gain decent access as a "representative of a potential buyer"
I tried to get pics of it one day last year, but the neighbor's dogs across the street were barking and their gates were open!
The upstairs door might be an exit access for the winter. I asked my dad why so many old farmhouses have second storey doors withough balconies, and he claimed that the snow would get that high. He could of been pulling my leg though.
