There's a LFP story on this property today. It looks like somebody has put a huge hole in one of the walls that wasn't present when I visited 2-3 years ago. Unfortunate.
They would absolutely be talking about the same pool PNKRanger. That was pretty much the exact time I had estimated for the pool's age and London overhead images from the early 1940's already show this pool's existence. Very interesting that it was a Blackburn property at one time.

No luck getting a look at the inside?
I visited this place last winter, unfortunately by the spring of 2011 they had ploughed the place over and dumped the remains inside the foundation. Perhaps the most poorly built house I have ever seen. It looked like a self made house on the cheap with lots of patchwork and half finished reno's everywhere. No real surprise that the house was falling apart by the time you took these pictures. It w
Dropped by on the weekend and it looks like the barn was demolished and removed in the past year. Seems weird that they'd take the time to remove the barn while leaving the house standing.
Saw this place yesterday. Was obviously an amazing estate in it's time but it doesn't look like much maintenance or any upgrades have been done since it was built probably 70 years ago or so. You certainly don't get to view an abandoned house of this size very often.
My guess is this was an old bomb shelter from the 1940-50's.
I was at this place last winter unfortunately the pictures got erased. But this was most definitely a grow-up in the past. Soil and dirt was falling out of the ceiling tiles. It looks like in many places, they just threw down dirt and planted right on the attic and and floor in some rooms rather than using pots.
It looks like we went by this place only one day after kwils. Oct 17th. This place looks like it's been vacant for an awful long time. I also wouldn't call the place 'in good shape', it's pretty much been demolished beyond redemption. Not that it was much of a house to begin with. I counted 4 different types of exterior structures, all painted yellow trying to blend in with each other. I
Then you definitely went to the wrong location. The racquetball club is huge and still stands there. The name on the side of the building can still be seen from the road. It's behind Crossings restaurant.

Cool looking house. Could you give more details on the location? How far from Woodstock? Where's it near? Thanks.

I drove by this place a couple of weeks back, the house has been torn down and it looks like they might be preping to put a subdivision full of houses on the land.
This house and 434 Egerton next door have been torn down. Both houses were pretty disgusting. They've started building something else on that corner.
