good find Dallas, I did notice this place when I was in the area the other day! Such a stunning home!
That dune buggy is cool! looks like that's load baring linoleum in the kitchen!
Very cool! It's rather ornate in comparison to the typical block pulleys I see in old barns!
Great find and photos!! In shot 10, is that part of an old pulley?
Thx OAP!
Nope not raccoon remains, kind of looks like it though. The orange room was filled with something like a tumble weed, they were all over the property blowing around like a wild west movie! I'm guessing it's the seed of a variety of grass?
Great job on the description, always nice to get some details on a location :)
Amazing find Timo, looks like a lot of life has been through this place in it's time. I know that feeling you refer to all to well. Some places just have a vibe that gives you goosebumps! Makes you start to wonder if it's just imagination or.....
I see that, with a shaggy mustache!!
To bad about the fire, I found this place back in 07 when exploring the foundations that used to be up at the front of the property near the road. It was in decent shape at that point with only minor drywall damage. I thought about having a nap in that little cubby hole, nook kinda thing that was in what i think was the bedroom. I recall how pristine and clear the pond was.
I checked this location out back in 2008 and it was in much better shape. It's seems since then the floor of the second story exploded!? In pic 3 it looks like the floor is missing all together? My question is who and why? I couldn't see it being fun or easy removing it, what would they do with it after. it's like some one said "hey, you know that what would be really neat to do!!?? Let's go rip t
i notice that sloped roof over what I'm assuming is a set of stairs in pic 13 and 16. Did you notice if the second floor windows were boarded up at the top of that sloped roof? If any thing, it would allow for a peak inside if nothing else.
that chirping noise was probably a smoke detector with fading batteries.
Looks like a solid house structurally with a good steel roof... probably better constructed then anything they would put in it's place. It will be a sad day if this one comes down I must say. That looks to be a Beaver Table saw, a very good quality piece of equipment from back in the day if it is.
