Yeah, its gone. No need for FM now. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/4754449-featured-photos-sanatorium-teardown/
Demolished as of today. Was on the news...
Demolished? Guelph Heritage has spent years saving it from demo. There were renovations planned. Now theyre just gonna tear it down? Ugh.
Barn has got so much security because it stores vintage cars. ;) Posted a photo of it in my album.
Couldn't find anything in the news about it? Can someone get some photos? :( Sad day for Hamiltons history.
The 407 was an abomination to the historical buildings in the areas affected. It still stuns me that our government decided demolishing over 200 homes (at least 30 or more being historically designated) was worth building a new highway and making the taxpayers foot the bill.
No way! They're tearing it down?! I thought it hadn't been approved yet... :( How sad.
This place is for sale, if anyone wants it...
It's gone now, and has been for over a year. :( The exit off the HWY doesn't look the same at all.
Canucks747 - Yes. The 407 expropriation report shows these 3 properties as being purchased for demolition. Interesting Fact; "Strike 2" is actually the "Daniel Hogarth House". Designated as historical. But sadly will still be demolished...
I remember driving by this and wanting to stop but I couldn't. Went back a few months later and couldn't find it. No wonder I couldn't find it...
It's up for sale again, for twice as much as it was sold for last time. http://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/preston-springs-hotel-back-on-the-market-at-double-previous-price-1.1717692
This place is still around and kicking. Every time I've gone to the neighbors they haven't answered.
Glad to be able to shed some light into the interior
I saw them before they were painted, then took a trip out earlier this week to see the painted editions... Eh. I hope someone has interiors, they've been abandoned for ages!
