35 Years ago, I watched them use these barns for farming. Ten years ago I watched the beginning of decay, and today I watched them start to tear it all down.....how sad is that!
The little white house at the back has been occupied since the beginning of December 2011.
A calendar from 1926, good gawd thats unreal!
#15 is nice enough to frame and hang on a wall. Nice find, beautiful house.
Nice thanks. Better understanding of just how small the cemetery is.
HAHAHA...I'm not laughing at you Vita, but the two photo's you took are priceless! The tissue one....HAHAHA....and the comments....HAHAHA....all comes together now!
I totally agree with urbexchix. Now that I've viewed all my pictures, I realize just how much of the detail in this house I actually missed. Looks like a return trip for me!
Although Issac Murray owned alot of land in this area, I believe this house sits on the property that was once owned by the Andrew family. The main house is abandoned but the little house further back with the eviction notice on the door is currently being renovated. I went on the weekend (Nov 6/11) and there was a car in the driveway, along with many personal pictures and a ladies purse inside.
Nice job, the house is beautiful.
This house wasn't boarded up because the property was listed as public, it was boarded up because an application for a demolition permit was submitted to the town and approved. This happened after the farm complex was declared to have no significant hertage value or interest. So if you want pictures, you better hurry because as of Sept 6, 2011 it has been approved for t
I believe this is the same property I have wanted to explore and you must be talking about that same red truck I have seen in the driveway so many times before. The house itself is not very tree covered making it difficult to look at without drawing attention to the neighbors but the barn seems a little more hidden.
If you take the Oak Ridges trail (just north of King Road) you will come across this house and barn. The buildings are located right on the Seneca College King Campus property. You can access it from both Dufferin and Keele streets.
This place has been for sale at least 8 years. I drive by the for sale sign all the time but never dreamed there was a property on this land. Wow, this is amazing.....thank you!
