Yeah it was demolished at the end of summer. Apparently no demo permit was submitted and it was just taken down by the developer. Nothing remains of the farm stuff either. This house was on the site of an old mill. Behind where the house stood you can see remnants of it - the mill run and where the reservoir would have been.
I can't find the pics anymore, but I was here in 2015 and the houses were all already abandoned. Dk what the deal is with that newspaper from 2016 in the one house.
I've always been curious about this house. It's relatively new and plain, so I can't imagine why it was saved from the demolition that took out most of the other buildings surrounding it when they widened Davis.
This location seems to have appeared out of nowhere lol
Great find on the document. Seems to confirm the part still standing was built mid 1900's.

this place has taken a beating. one room is completely collapsed, another is half-way there (very recent). almost every window has been broken. I was here maybe 4 years ago and it was MINT compared to this. Very nice photo aesthetics tho! Reminds me of my grandparents cottage down to the bowl of candies on the table. Very 70s-esque and appears it could've been a time capsule if it wasn't for vandals. lots of leftover stuff was left as-is and was apparently untouched for awhile.
!! WHAT! Another one!?! Man you are tearing me up. Was here last summer and it was definitely lived in at the time. Did you just check it on a whim?
The one with the long driveway? I went to school with some kids that lived here and we partied here a few times. I was here in the summer and it looked like it was being worked on so didn't bother with it, but from your shots it's pretty clear that never happened lol
GPS is correct, but like 200m north of the actual location. It's still standing but it's pretty hard to tell from Google Maps.
Wicked history here and good find on that grave. I find the industrial homes and their graveyards to be interesting in how much they still seem to be ignored as part of our history. Frankly I can't believe you got names! There's one near my house that's marked with a simple monument "nearby" the original cemetery. I don't think any names were ever transcribed, if there was ever even grave markers to begin with.
I stopped by here a couple weeks ago but had a low battery. Everything was exactly the same, maybe a little more overgrown. The Subaru and pigeons are...unusual to say the least. The pigeons almost seem like they were just left by the last owners..theyre just so familiar and comfortable. And its not like its common to find herds of pigeons normally, even at a farm.
I would love to know, that sounds really interesting!
that's a little sketchy. I've seen some trucks parked in the parking lot-ish thing beside the house, but never seen anyone there. Is it just me or does it seem like that fallen tree is actually still alive? It certainly looks more filled in from your pictures than from mine.
Well that's just sad :( Here last weekend and a bunch of kids were here screwing around, but they were nice enough. Just blowing up bongs and stuff. Pretty much nothing left to vandalize, but the drive in to the house alone is easily worth the visit! Spooky doesn't begin to describe it. There's an odd room in the basement that appears to be a Panic Room or something. High ceiling, sound-proof walls, and a reinforced door...almost like a cell. But there's a peep-hole out, so..panic room?
Did no one get here before they tore out the stairs to the upper cupola? I eventually managed to get up long after my camera died, but some pictures would be cool.
