I've never been completely convinced that this property is abandoned. I took a drive up and explored the gardens. I almost literally ran into a big deer buck near the pool. The blinds on the sliding door were open and there was a computer chair and a telescope set up. It really is a cool find and a very cool pool and garden.
I'm so glad you posted this site! I've passed by here countless times and always wondered what its original use was. Thanks for the history!
I love this site. It's a very popular trail area for hikers and dog walkers and it's so fun for kids (and adults) to explore. I remember the shooting range was still operational when I was a child - the 1980s. I found a plastic "missile" there that my dad let me bring home with me. I remember trying to "open it" with a hacksaw. In adult hindsight, I'm pretty sure it was a teargas cannister (as it irritated my eyes to no end). Anyways, the '80s were crazy. And thanks for posting!

I've driven past this location hundreds of times and I always wondered about it. The fact that the driveway was partly mowed in the summer and there was a "No Trespassing" sign always kept me out. Sad to see it's almost completely collapsed over the winter.
I'm pretty excited. I visited this location years ago and I swore that I took pictures. I looked in my archives and couldn't find them. And now? They were on the built-in memory on my old Panasonic Lumix! Just found 'em and will upload as soon as I can.

This is still one of the abandoned properties that sticks in my mind the most. I can still picture the spices still in the cupboard, the magazines stacked inside the closet. The board games and picture albums on a shelf in the living room. When I think of abandoned farm houses, I think of this house. It's sad to see how much it has decayed.

I've been wondering for quite some time if there were any buildings hidden behind the trees up there. There's also a nice one on Claire Rd. E across from Lynch Circle. Last I checked, the inside was demolished down to the studs and there wasn't a POE.
