Thanks, funny enough this was the location Storytrail and I tried to hit back at the start of the year but ended up in the ditch (the first time) hahaha. Glad we finally got there.
Thanks Fiso!
Nice Location!
Really spooky find!
***UPDATE*** The developer who owns the land will be tearing down this heritage house very soon as they just got the green light that is salvageable or beyond repair. Be sure to get out there while this beauty is still standing!
Nice location Andrew! Glad you guys made it.
Looks like the massive hole in the back side of the house was caused "accidentally" when Mattamy Homes equipment "nudged" the building. Thing is the town was looking to make this a heritage house.... what a coincidence that the hole is about the size of an excavators bucket... https://www.facebook.com/acohaltonhills/posts/936551339725206
Certainly gutsy to be tunneling in the spring thaw, kudos for the bravery.
The girlfriend of the owner next door is deaf, we had to make at least ten phone calls between the number posted and a local gas station before we got a pick up on the line. Storytrail and I didn't think we were going to make it in. Here's the phone number for the owner (819) 433 3334 make sure you call in advance.
Thank you! it was certainly an eerie explore, I wish I didn't feel so rushed as I'm sure the guard would have let us stay much longer. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to make the trip soon as it's only a matter of time before it comes down due to demolition. Fiso, votre francais c'est tres bein mon ami. Je parle impue de fracais, mai c'est tres cassee. haha
A poorly constructed barbwire fence was put up about three months ago to keep people out but it does not wrap around the house. Be wary it is an extremely busy area with the round about. The neighbor said that the house originally was owned by the Reece family and when the father passed away the mother evicted the son and the house has stood still since. The cement area used to be a boat work shop
Visited this location this past weekend and judging by the past photos I could have sworn Bruce Banner threw one big tantrum in here. Holes in the walls, beds ravaged, everything has been left pretty roughed up. A passing neighbor was kind enough to let us know that the current owner lives in Florida and had plans to convert the land into a watermelon plant. cont...
As of this weekend there is still currently no access
Tried to visit this location this past weekend, it appears that Kenndruuh had the honors of most likely being the last member to gain access to this location as all P.O.E are completely boarded up due to arson and electronic security has been installed as stickers are posted all around the exterior. This is the fifth school I have tried to get shots in with absolutely no luck, such a shame.
Visited this past Thursday despite the rain. All members should be aware that <b>OPP still patrols inside the fence<b>. Despite what you might have heard about the dog training being moved or shut down, be very aware and very alert at all times while exploring. Other than the warning, the place exceeded all expectations.
