I’m so happy I found these albums! This is the home I grew up in. My family rented it from 1996 to 2006. It was owned by the Harbaruk family who owned a few properties on that road. The son, Nick Harbaruk - who was a professional hockey player for the Pittsburg Penguins among other teams - was our landlord. The house was lovely but did have a mould problem, and the main reason it was abandoned is because the only water supply was a well which was located in the barn. All my best childhood memories were at this house. My dad built the deck and put in the sliding door, our Siberian Husky lived in the red shed. I did visit it before it was burnt down, and when I went back a few years ago to find it gone I was upset I didn’t have photos. But now I do. Thank you so much! I also have plenty of photos of the house when it was lived in and loved. I’d be happy to share if anyone’s interested - or if anyone would like to know more about the area.

Shame this burned to the ground, was particularly interested in checking out the cars and hovercraft but it seems like those are gone too.

Currently this old place is being torn down. Looks like the roof has collapsed and there are loads of heavy tire tracks all round the house and some interior bits that have been pulled clear of the house. I''ll keep and eye on it, it won''t be around long.
Demolished, spring 2019.

Public Records say the house was built in 1880 and consist of 100 acres. The property was last sold in 1987. I assume the property was rented out until about 2003 (I found A phone book from 2003 inside the house).

Thankfully we are from out of town, so we arrived WAY to early to board the train near by. Our anxious son was eager to board the train, so we took him for a walk down the trail to visit the abandoned train car. We all enjoyed the visit here. Was shocked to see it as a location on here, when I typed in New Tecumseth

This was Mile 54 where an ep of The Forest Rangers was shot back in 1963

Several brand new No Trespassing signs on the gate, and the house has been boarded up.....for now.

I was here in the fall, some super sketchy people were hanging around. I pretended to look for my dog and high tailed it to the car.

Concrete slab now blocks the driveway and all windows/doors have been boarded up.

Just to let people know there is lots of mold in the basement. And watch out for the floor in the back part of the garage. It is particle board and has gotten wet so it is rotting. I fell through it.
