Looks like it's been nicely trashed by the neighbourhood brats...
Oh nevermind, you were talking about the barn. I'm so going here.
Seriously? Double gothic windows?! Damnit why didn't I know about this place when it was standing! Nice though, and thanks for sharing!

Although Issac Murray owned alot of land in this area, I believe this house sits on the property that was once owned by the Andrew family. The main house is abandoned but the little house further back with the eviction notice on the door is currently being renovated. I went on the weekend (Nov 6/11) and there was a car in the driveway, along with many personal pictures and a ladies purse inside.
Another junk house. :( I've been eyeballing this one for a while, although I live only 2 minutes away from it, I haven't had time to go check it.

I used to work there years and years ago. Probably close to thirty years now. Quite the place. I thought it had been re-developed by now. It used to boast as the greenhouse having the most area "under glass" in Ontario.

I was in there hiking around 15 years ago, and remember seeing the old buildings, the water tower and the roadways. It was definately run by the MNR, they did forestry research, also dealt with rabies quarantined animals, childrens programs and hunting tests. It appears that the new development may have taken over most of the site, but I bet we can still find evidence of the previous structures.
