This is a tribute to the heart and soul of a woman who spent a lifetime raising a family of five. It is with great sadness that she cannot be identified, but it is the only way to protect the stunning farm estate. This is a special place, with a very high sensitivity level for a number of reasons. The home is untouched by vandals and scrappers, and is filled with a lifetime of precious memories. Mysteriously, the power is still on and there are strange signs that one of her sons may have recently lived in the home. And yet, simultaneously there are signs of many years of vacancy: cobwebs stretch fully across doorways and stairwells. Food spoiling in the fridge is many years old. Blue "toilet-cleaner" raccoon tracks cover the upstairs bathroom.
MARCH 2014 UPDATE: Address remains blocked, as this woman just died in the Fall of 2013 and the surviving family has not yet met at the house to divide the belongings. Perhaps her will itself has not yet even been settled. With the power still on, and objects of wealth still remaining in the house, this location needs a bit more time.

This location is a real life episode of hoarders. We had to make a few trips back to this location to finish exploring because there was just SO MUCH STUFF. The amount of stuff is honestly just overwhelming! This property is extremely old, with several buildings falling apart. There is a very large barn that has already collapsed, and a garage/shed that is being held up by a thick chain tied to a tree. The other buildings are too far gone to see what they may have been used for, but I am assuming just storage sheds. The property is full of old farm equipment, and one of the tractors has even been in the same place for so many years that a tree had literally grown up through it.
The driveway is extremely long, I would say at least a kilometer and the property is completely surrounded in bush. If you are going to this location, park at the hotel across the street, as I believe the farmland is still in use. The house incredibly still has hydro, which scares me, because judging by the condition of the house, this was the absolute last place I would have expected hydro. For that reason alone, exploring it was creepy. Entry is very simple, as the screen door is unlocked and only held closed by a small rock. I will warn you that there are raccoons in the walls in the upstairs portion of the house. This was a little unnerving with constantly hearing them, but it is safe as they are only in the walls. Also, be very aware of ticks. I did not get any on myself, but a friend of mine ended up with 5.
There is no vandalism at the property at all, however, the place is quite dirty on the inside. One thing I could not understand, is why there is so much stuff left over. From speaking with locals, rumour has it that the owner just walked out one day and went to the retirement home just down the road. I, myself, still find that very bizarre. How could one just up and leave all of their belongings?
haunter91: I found this house back in January coming back from an adventure at another house, I noticed hydro poles going to seemingly nothing due to the long driveway, I turned around and noticed the outline of a big old brick house. It was getting dark so I figured I would return the next day. At this time, there was a bridge knocked out at the end of the driveway so I parked and walked the extremely long driveway to the house. I could hardly believe it when I approached it, such a beautiful house I thought but also very creepy, almost wrong turn like vibes that someone or something was lurking in one of the buildings around the house. Entering the house was even more exciting despite the house being mostly trashed some very cool things were left behind, antique dressers, radiators and a ton of old belongings left there. The house has the most beautiful staircase I have ever seen and the second floor has a pressed tin ceiling above the dropped 60’s ceiling.
I started trying to find a name in the house so I could begin to piece things together, which I love to do. I will exclude the surname to protect the family as a remaining son lives 5 minutes away from the house. The lady that lived here, her name was Madelyn. Madelyn was a widow since her husband William passed away in 1982, she lived here with her son, who is the son that lives in town, she also had two daughters who don’t live locally. She was 89 when she passed away. Madelyn sadly passed away in this house and shortly after the house was abandoned, I’m assuming it was too much for the son to take and decided to move in to a different house, which is understandable. I am unsure who the house belongs to now, I would think the son owns it but no one seems to be worried about trespassing as I have visited this home 3-4 times in the last year, sadly every time I return more things are missing and more things are vandalized.
The house has a sense of peace despite being so badly torn apart and out of all the house’s I’ve explored I feel like I have a special connection with this one, it’s just too nice of a home to deserve it’s fate.

This place has taken a turn for the worst. The hydro has finally been cut, there's several broken windows and stuff has been thrown all around. Thankfully the staircase is still intact.
I know it must be painful, but someone in that family needed to secure her personal stuff.
When i opened the door i could hear the coon or coons running for cover. Little bastards are in there somewhere.
The time machine moved GS, from one table to another closer to the window...no harm no foul.
From the look of Darkman's recent visit, nothing here has been moved an inch.
This location is wonderful, and each gallery is spectacular! Love it.
Amazing find! Love all the old photographs! Like Superss said...Those stairs..oh my.
Indeed a classic. AND...sensitive with a capital 'S'. There is evidence the son still visits, if not semi-lives there...not sure at this time. With her recent passing, one would think potential visits from family might ensue for the time being.

Demolished as of September 22nd 2020. :( From what I heard it was a controlled burn, by the current land owner. I believe they are the company that installs the wind turbines, so that''s probably the plan for the property, but I could be wrong.
