Hazards of Casa Grande Domes

The structures are potentially dangerous to the public as most of their unfinished construction has started to fall off. Due to exposure to sunlight and rain over the years. The domes also house several drug addicts and peddlers who claim territories at some sections of the vast property. An unexpecting civilian can easily be hurt by them when he/she gets into a confrontation with them.

History of Casa Grande Domes

Construction of Casa Grande domes started in 1982 by a California-based electronic manufacturing industry Innerconn technology. The company’s motive was to make Casa Grande their new headquarters as California was to be a branch. A year after construction of the Casa Grande Domes started, the building process came to a halt when a bank took over the property over an unpaid loan by the company. The bank not knowing what to do with the building left the structures to decay in despair to date.

Casa Grande Domes in Casa Grande, Arizona are abandoned doomed-shaped structures built-in 1970 by a computer and electronic manufacturing company. The structures which are currently in ruins were built by the tech company to be their new headquarters but this never happened.

What is the current situation of the domes?

Casa Grande Domes still stand but are in a dilapidated state. Most of its concrete roof has fallen off leaving huge holes on them. Graffiti covers almost every inch of the structures which has caused more damage to the wall surfaces of the domes. The state government of Arizona issued a directive for the building to be demolished for being unsafe to the public but they are yet to be put down. It is said that the tech company gave up on the building and are currently making it work with California as their headquarters.

The dark side of Casa Grande domes.

Many of the locals at Casa Grande believe that some are taking advantage of the deserted domes and are using them for rituals and witchcraft. Although stories of Casa Grande domes being haunted is not common, the eerie feeling that these ruins instill in person, especially at night can be scary.

Is Casa Grande domes open to the public?

Casa Grande Domes are still private property and closed to the public. The owners do not allow visitors or tours at the property for safety reasons. Casa Grande Domes are one of the many historic sites in Arizona having stood for more than two decades. Whether the domes will be demolished or the order overturned in court is still unclear. It will really be a pity for such historic landmarks to be demolished
