Ok, I lied!! THIS is the Stairway to Heaven? Pahhh! I should have called it "Ascent Into Hades".

Before we get to the top of those stairs, let's back up a bit. Here is the house as seen from the road.

Clearly this is where "old man Jebb" would have sat with his shotgun protecting his property... Or his daughter from potential suitors!

A pseudo-shed / garage ruin in the far back of the property, homemade sheet-metal construction.

I stepped on a nail taking this shot - first time! Not too concerned about my foot but crap! Now my boot leaks when I step in puddles.

Back to the house. One corner of it has completely collapsed, making for little choice on how to enter.

Note the old fridge. Everything in here has fallen through to the basement. I am standing on a massive mound of garbage to take this shot.

Look through the doorway here and you can see the entire house lifting off of the foundation. As well, the living room floor has been obliterated and has fallen into the basement.

While stepping from solid object to solid object to get across the living room, I noticed this gorgeous old cast iron wood stove. Too bad it is buried in garbage.

Back at the stairs and time to go up. So far in all my explorations, climbing this stairway is the single dumbest thing I think I have done. The entire house seemed to threaten to fall over as I ascended.
