After a few failed attempts I finally got to explore this in March of 2021. By this time it had been pretty vandalized but still a very interesting location.
A few months later I returned, both the dressers upstairs and several other antique items had been removed. The house was pretty interesting and looks like it was added onto at some point. The stairs going up had the most narrow steps I had ever seen in a house. I found out through some rummaging through an old drawer in the diningroom that this house belonged to a man named Alex Fitoski.
He was an avid gardener and spent most of his remaining years gardening and attending the Welland farmer's market where he had a booth. There were seemingly few items left to verify that a female lived here with him so I'm assuming he lived here by himself for most of his life.
Alex passed away in 2010, which seems to be pretty accurate with the level of decay of this place. I did also stumble across his obituary which gives some more details about his life which can be found here: http://jjpatterson.frontrunnerpro.com/book-of-memories/462679/fitoski-alexander/obituary.php
As of October of last year, the house and barn have been demolished and there is a fence up. Looks like the once somewhat distant housing development down the road will soon extend onto this property if it hasn't already.
