Abandoned POW Camp. Built during world war 2. 2020 Lambs Rd Bowmanville.
During World War II, it was an internment camp for officers and ranking officials of the German Armed Forces. Captured by the Allied Forces, they were sent from the United Kingdom to Canada as the possibility of invasion by the Nazis could mean their release. Enemy combatants were held until 1945 and sent back to Europe with the end of World War II.
There are 6 Buildings. Able to gain entry to 4 as most of the doors are wedged open. Very dark inside and quite a bit of water on the ground. There were tons of people walking around and going in and out of all of the buildings when i visited.
