Small, four corners Community N.E. of Belleville. One of many that were established in the 1800s and now just rural settlement.
A house down the road from my old childhood home.
The walls inside are all very brightly coloured - but the asbestos doesn't make it the best place to stand around and take photos of.
An adventure buddy and I found this place while out for a drive. We weren't expecting to find anything abandoned-wise, but as soon as we passed this, we knew we had to go in. As soon as you walk in the actual house, there is a small area to stand and stairs going up and going down - the downstairs was flooded and filled with white porcelain figures while the upstairs was empty for the most part except for a dresser and mirror, and some other random things, including Giant Tiger bags that were filled with God knows what. There were two other structures just beside the house with not a lot going on inside them - but when we kept walking, that's when the real interesting things were found. Sprawled all over the lawn and surrounding area was garbage - and loads of it. Garbage bags, yes, and piles of garbage, yes - but also an old derby card, washing machine, barbecue, kids toys and lots of other left behind or otherwise thrown out things. An interesting discovery, to say the least.
