1. Diefenbunker's TX Bunker

During the Cold War period CFS Carp needed a location for the transmitter that it's signals would come out from. A location near Richardson On.(just outside Perth On.) was chosen so if the signals were ever triangulated, the actual location of the Diefenbunker would not receive a direct hit. This two storey under ground bunker housed the transmitter equipment and facilities to house 20 servicemen through a nuclear strike and hopefully continue to transmit signals to the 6 other Diefenbunkers across Canada and other facilities. The receiver sites were located in Almonte and Dunrobin but there were no bunkers at these two locations, see my other locations for one of those sites and the location CFS Carp for more info on the Diefenbunker.

2. Stanleyville

Originally settled in 1816. Now a quiet little Hamlet with a small number of homes, farming and a big church.

3. 1074 Tennyson Road

A very old abandoned house. Pretty sketchy to explore. Stopped to take pics and someone pulled up behind us so only managed to snap a few on 2 separate occasions. Sorry about some as it was raining.

Take Highway 15 to Ninth Line where it changes to Tennyson Road. Roughly 15 mins to Ninth Line either from Smiths Falls or Carleton Place, and than about 10 to where it changes to Tennyson.

Possibly another abandoned farm homestead a ways down the road. Road was always too busy when I went to be certain.
