Hazards of Jack Burger Pub

Its another active business. If its open, go. But it will be closing at some point if it hasnt already.

History of Jack Burger Pub

This house looks like it was made in and around WW2 times. I cant find much info on it and it does not have a designation. Back in the day this would have been a large residential area. By Grand River Hospital would have been mostly residential back in the day. That is why the church is located next door to the hospital. Historic placements.

This pub is well known and a spot that many frequent. Us explorers have seen other houses like this and we can literally imagine the walls. You can imagine the top floor that would have had stairs up to that peak window you can see from the rear. Yes, it was fairly converted for this restaurant. But nicer has had more torn out of it in K-Town.

However one day (possibly coming up soon) this place will close. It will then be demolished. Sad. At least I had a burger and a brew while I shot this. An “L” shaped 21 story building that will have 137 units in it.

One day, houses wont exist. If they do it will be for the elite. Not for folks like you and I. We gon be stuck renting from these filthy developers. This was on my interest list for a while. Its not too special, but its a place that is now immortalized. Whether its the building you like, or browsing to remember the times yall had here…… Jack Burger.

Also the last original residence on Duke St before that Great steaming Emerald piece of crap (Market Square). That is the MAIN reason I chose to shoot and add this to this site. Active places, is fast becoming what I consider “URBEX AT ITS FINEST”. Light and air quality is unmatched.
