Looking for an Abandon place to explore in Brampton
Qaosja • 4 days ago
Hey there everyone, how are you doing. This is my first forum and I'm new here so don't really know how this works. I'm looking to find an abandon place to explore in the Brampton area. I live near Sandalwood Heights and can travel to places using my bike. I'm planning on exploring with friends. Are there any suggestions? Most of the ones I've researched either were burned or have been re-constructed

Requesting for Level 2
Francisco J. • 20 hours ago
Hey everybody, I'm JJ and my level 2 election time has come. I am an eager and avid explorer from Kawartha Lakes Ontario, and I currently find most of my locations through google maps. I have been interested in abandoned locations since I was much younger, but only started properely exploring around 3 months ago. I always do my best to preserve a historical place and to write an accurate and detailed description when it comes time to post it. Through the past three months, I have made contributions to 2 existing level one locations as well as creating 6 level ones, 2 level twos, and 2 level threes. I will be relocating to Hamilton Ontario next year and I am looking forward to exploring larger urban locations. As a level 2 user, I will continue to post new detailed locations, I will try my best to provide meaningful contributions to other locations, and I will chase the thrills of urban exploration (but hopefully not be chased.)

Was thinking about applying sooner or later, thought it was a good chance to receive some thoughts on my albums from other users. I have reached the level 2 requirements and have gone just a little bit over. I obviously want level 2 to receive access to more spots to be able to keep exploring and contributing to this website. I am pretty new to urbex, I've always had a thing for exploring but never knew how to start until I came across a nice hangout spot around September 2023. Ever since my motivation to find and explore more spots has been a lot. Though I haven't been actively posting for 3 months I have been active as a member and have used this website to find a few spots. I didn't post because I didn't realize how the site worked beforehand where you can level up and receive access to more spots. I haven't posted any sort of exteriors (when I say exteriors I mean the structures that aren't collasped and or just random spots such as my level 1 "Chester Hill), and have tried to imrpove my quality and quantity of pictures album by album. I always like to provide a nice description towards my locations. Again I'm very open to feedback as well so I would highly appreciate if so.

Ahh, well I'm back here reapplying for level 2 again. I am now much more familiar with how things work and I can actually read properly this time lol. Anyways, since I last applied I've got the new location requirement completed and as of today it's been 3 months of me being 'active' as a L1 user (since the actual day I posted my first album). For those who aren't level 4 and cannot see everything I've posted by default, here's a breakdown of my albums, if it helps you in your voting.
I have at:
**Level 2 Locations**: 6x interiors, 10x exterior only
**Level 3 Locations**: 9x interiors, 1x exterior only
**Level 4 Locations**: 4x interiors, 1x exterior only
Then of course everything else, everyone can see. Open to other comments & suggestions, but this time I at least correctly meet all minimum requirements for L2. Thanks everyone!

I haven't been exploring for as long as other people, but I know the rules and respect them. I've submitted photos for >10 locations, many of which are higher than my current level. While I'm capable of finding new locations (or rediscovering ones that people have already found), I'd like Level 2 access because I prefer to know what kind of hazards I'm dealing with ahead of time. Furthermore, I want to take photos from angles that few people have done (e.g. rooftops with no ladder access). Possible caveat: the "new locations" that I've discovered so far are exterior-only. This is because I couldn't find a POE and/or the security was too tight. I still need more experience in that aspect.
Requesting for Level 3
Face_Tinnitus • 2 months ago
I deserve this so I find more sites, post more pictures, get more followers, and feel like a more important man. Also I Am awesome at urbex. None of the opening sentences is true. I'm none of these things, I do not need level 3, I would like to have level 3 mainly to update and improve the Atlantic Canada section of the database. I’m not going to go into my stats, there right there on the screen, I’ve been to some interesting places and some real garbage holes, made some friends along the way and some memories and that's not going to change with level 3 or 4 or 2. Oh last thing, film photography is great, give it a try, live a little. Thanks, Face_Tinnitus

Camera (my phone), mask (a few surgical ones). That's it. Maybe should start bringing gloves and flashlight and get a proper respirator.
I try to take 1 person as much as is possible. It has almost the same benefits as being solo but you have company for whatever you need.
A workaround to the outdated imagery is downloading Google earth pro (it's free), if you have a windows computer. You can then view the actual most recent data google has (within 4 months usually). I've found it quite helpful as I can't get around as easy.

Sattelite will screw you more than be correct. It's very very outraged and will lead you to a lot that is not what sattelite shows, or will lead you to straight up empty lots. You have been warned.
Lol. Go buy a farm. It will turn out better. LOL.

Hi belerey, your promotion has gone through based on the positive community votes. But going forward you should concentrate on not having exterior only locations and focus on quality not quantity. Congrats and happy exploring, Cheers!

lmao
All looks and seem likely to factual stats at a point. Probably the same now plus 6 galleries depending if all the deleted was restored. Ishootthings running low on ammo? Pew pew shoot things but not drakes security.
I was an admin at the time. It was a test of the system of sorts as the promotions were just implemented, but also a joke at the same time. Idk, but I think those are my current stats.
23,000 photos... 513 albums and 175 locations. how was this declined? Unless a new update dropped, I don't believe the stats update after the promotion, so these were his stats when he submitted this, right?
